Dear Designers, Visionaries, Builders, Decorators, Contractors and Dreamers,

I want to thank each and everyone of you for looking at the old and neglected historic spaces in Hot Springs and seeing something wonderous. You see things rest of us miss.
I assume you use ancient magic, vodoo and a whole lot of money to miraculously turn our abandoned lofts, cottages, sky scrapers and warehouses into brilliant historic properties. You've all been willing to tilt at wildmills, wrestle with monsters, slay the city permits and grapple with monumental structural issues. Then, after all that, you give Hot Springs homes, restaurants and art galleries that are unique and beautiful beyond description.
We live in a state determined, it seems, to simply destroy all our old historic properities

because it's easier than doing what you guys do when you take on these projects. We'd rather let old places continue to deteroiate until they can't be saved.
But you, my brilliant and creative friends, are made of stiffer stuff and finer material. You are willing to risk your own time, sanity and a great deal of money, inorder to go to war for our history. We owe you.

In the words of Shel Silverstein, "come in if you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, A hoper, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer...If you're a pretender, come sit by the fire.."
